ISUS 2018 Summer School, July 22-23

On July 22 and 23 students from eleven different countries will meet for the ISUS summer school. The main objective of the summer school is to provide a friendly and informal discussion forum for students working on similar projects.

 

The students from undergraduate to doctoral level will be able to attend four talks given by Roger Crisp, Julia Driver, Anders Sandberg, and Ulla Wessels.

 

Moreover, students will be able to participate in friendly and informal discussions of papers and projects from peer students working on similar projects. The discussions will be arranged into four slots and focus on four different topics, namely on

  • Utilitarianism & Objections to Utilitarianism,
  • New Technology,
  • Population Ethics, and
  • Utilitarian Thinkers.

The summer school will take place at the Lernzentrum am Fasanenschlösschen. Attendance is free, but please register via our website [choose: "reduced rate (without conference participation)"]. If you also want to attend the main conference, you may register at the reduced rate of 100 Euros [choose: "reduced rate (with conference participation)"]. The optional conference dinner costs a further 25 Euros.

 

PLEASE NOTE: the summer school is only open to students who have gone through the application process which took place in March 2018. You may only register if you have been accepted then!
